About Me.

Hello friends! I’m Emily, the founder of Chaos Control LLC, Navy veteran, organizing enthusiast, crazy plant lady, and proud animal lover.

My journey hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve worked in a metal factory, served 10 years in the U.S. Navy, worked for the government as a secretary, lodging coordinator, and logistics specialist, assisted with events and sales for a hot sauce company, cooked in a fine dining kitchen, photographed weddings, and spent over two decades babysitting kids under 10. Each role taught me something meaningful, but none of them gave me that “this is it” feeling.

Diagnosed with ADHD as a child, I spent years thinking it was a weakness. It wasn’t until I joined the Navy that I discovered it was actually one of my greatest strengths. Once I focused on what I could do, not what I couldn’t (looking at you, math), I started to thrive. That mindset shift changed everything for me.

In 2022, I quit my comfy, high-paying job to go to the University of New Hampshire. During this phase, not only did I fall in love with college, but also the time it gave me to enjoy my many side quests. I built my dream garden, landscaped my entire property, organized my basement and garage, and took on odd jobs organizing other people's homes, while also helping my family and friends organize theirs. All of this was far from easy, but because of my amazing support system, I succeeded in not only earning a dual degree with a 3.5 GPA, but I also found what kind of work made me the happiest.

I came to the conclusion that throughout all of these prior jobs and hobbies, there were certain things that I loved doing the most in each one: organizing and making things more efficient. They say if you’re good at something, you shouldn’t keep it to yourself, and for me, that “something” is turning chaos into calm.

Starting a business has always been in the back of my mind, so I finally took a leap of faith and created Chaos Control. This is my way of using my creative talent to bring happiness, relief, and order to other people’s lives. While many feel overwhelmed by clutter, I come alive in it. My brain is wired to think fast, spot patterns, and jump straight into problem-solving mode. I can walk into a chaotic space and immediately see where to start. I thrive on multitasking, and when I get into organizing mode, I hyperfocus and get the job done with creativity and efficiency.

I know all too well what it’s like to feel mentally and physically overwhelmed, which is why I will bring empathy, humor, and a judgment-free approach to every project I do, big or small. I want to help people envision and build systems that actually work for them.

Whether it’s rescuing an overgrown garden, doing basement clean-out, taming a garage, rescuing a junk drawer, or bringing peace to a cluttered pantry, I LOVE to help. I love pulling weeds in a garden in just as much as I love labeling bins.
I truly believe that even the messiest situations can be tackled with a little humor, a lot of caffeine, and the right playlist. I offer real support, good energy, and friendship along the way.
